When did Frankly start?

A bagel shop in Adelaide had been a concept in our founders minds for several years after travelling and seeing the bagel love in cities like London. Adelaidians are missing out they thought! Fast forward a couple of years and the perfect spot in Prospect was found and our first shop opened in April 2020.

‘Wait, wasn’t that in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic?’

Yes it was, what a crazy time! The regulations in Adelaide at the time meant that we could operate with take away only, so that’s what we did.

Why did you pick Prospect?

It’s all about the suburban community for us! Our location ‘off the beaten track’ on Belford Avenue, opposite the Charles Cane Reserve, was crying out for a meeting spot.

If you’re out walking the dogs, the kids, meeting a friend or rolling solo, we aim to be the destination that you can pop in for a tasty bagel, coffee and a chat. We just love how vibrant the area is becoming!
